To say the labour market has been challenging over the last 18 months would be an understatement, but like all successful businesses we have had to move with the times and become more creative when it comes to exploring platforms that will assist in attracting the new generation of workers for the agricultural, manufacturing and logistics labour markets. Earlier in the year we made an investment to film some short promotional video’s that were created to attract more workers into regional Australia to assist with the massive labour shortage and they looked great! It was money well spent, they definitely served a purpose in terms of promoting our brand and we were left with plenty of stock footage which we could use for other purposes.
Whilst Facebook and Instagram have been the key marketing tool to attract the younger generations in years gone by, we were not capturing everyone. The last piece in the puzzle had not yet been explored.
So now APG Workforce is on TikTok. Experts say there are over 1.6 Million users in Australia, most of them being Gen-Y and Millennials. TikTok was the number 1 downloaded App globally in the last 2 years. So it makes sense that APG gets on board the TikTok train! In just under 24 hours our 1 short video has had over 1000 views with each viewer given the opportunity to engage and register with APG Workforce for employment opportunities. It’s early days, but we know we have another useful tool in our arsenal, and we’re keen to get TikTokking! Who else is on TikTok and how has it worked for your business?
